Neglected dogs rescued from overcrowded indoor conditions during a hoarding case in Whitman County, Washington.
More than 100 dogs were rescued from extreme neglect in Whitman County and are now receiving medical care and rehabilitation.

Volunteers in Whitman County, Washington, have rescued over 100 dogs from a severe hoarding situation, local animal welfare groups report. Many of the animals had reportedly never been outside and some “didn’t even look like dogs at all,” due to neglect and poor conditions. The dogs are now under care, being cleared medically, groomed and evaluated for foster or adoptive homes. Volunteers say it will take time to rehabilitate both their physical health and trust in humans. Authorities are investigating the site to determine how long the animals were living in such conditions.
