DOG WITH ACUTE SKIN PROBLEMS FINDS CARE AND HOME WITH VOSD
What you will learn

Diva is a black beauty with big dark eyes. She was rescued, along with her siblings, when she was only a little pup. Diva’s foster parent put up several adoption appeals on multiple platforms but no one came forward to take the mixed-breed pup home. Meanwhile, Diva grew into a beautiful big dog but was also diagnosed with atopic dermatitis, a condition for which she would require specialised care. After many more failed attempts at getting Diva adopted, her rescuer decided to surrender her to VOSD for lifelong care.

So, Diva came to VOSD and started her new life. To our utter surprise Diva turned out to be quite non-diva-like in her demeanour; she was timid and shy and in the beginning, would only stay in her quiet little corner never venturing out to mingle with humans or dogs. Diva’s caretakers employed various strategies, which included showering the gentle dog with affection and treats, to get her to open up. All our efforts worked, as Diva slowly became comfortable around humans, and then she befriended the dogs also; now she loves her new family and has a thriving social life. The dear pooch gets excited around mealtimes, takes leisurely strolls on sanctuary grounds and gets specialised care for her skin issues.

Diva had a traumatic childhood; she was neglected and rejected by everyone around her barring a kind rescuer. We will now ensure she feels cherished and loved for the rest of her life at VOSD.

Hundreds of dogs like Diva suffer silently due to harassment they face on the streets. Help us bring more such dogs to the safety of VOSD sanctuary by donating INR 5,000 (~$61) one-time or monthly: https://vosd.in/active-campaigns/monthly-expenses/
