In Nashikโ€™s Satpur area, a 48-year-old farmer has been booked after a distressing video surfaced showing him tying a stray dogโ€™s limbs to his motorcycle and dragging it along the road. The incident was reported by a tax consultant associated with an animal welfare group, who helped identify the location and the accused. Police have filed charges under Section 325 of the IPC for maiming an animal and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. The farmer claimed he believed the dog was dead and was disposing of it, but later abandoned the dog and returned home. Authorities are still searching for the animal.
