Relocated multiple times, cruelty survivor mum and pup reach the safety of VOSD

Cruelty towards dogs can come in many forms and one such way, which is also the least talked about, is illegally relocating them making vulnerable to dog attacks and further human cruelty. A pregnant dog, Jyothi, became victim to the same cruelty after she was illegally relocated to some other place during a critical health phase. Luckily, a kind person started taking care of her there.

Jyothi had given birth to 5 pups and hid them probably in a drain. One unfortunate day, it rained so heavily that one of the pups died. A young boy moved Jyothi and the remaining pups to somewhere near his home. Sadly, Jyothi and her pups were relocated again by the boy’s family. Her caregiver managed to find her after many days of searching – but only one pup, Deepak, survived.

Her friend decided to foster baby Deepak but Jyothi got so frantic searching for him everywhere that it felt wrong to separate them. The duo were surrendered to VOSD considering the exceptional circumstances – since we do not accept puppies for their own safety.

Suddenly, everything has changed for Jyothi and her puppy. They are experiencing safety and are able to channelize their energy without worrying about anything. They’re always seen running around or playing with the caregivers! With the daily nutritious meals, we expect them to get super healthy soon. Jyothi will be spayed and once Deepak is over six months of age, he will be neutered.
