To further support the work of such NGOs and individuals to rescue and rehabilitate stray dogs, VOSD releases grants of up to INR 5 lakh per annum as part of the VOSD Grants Program.

Karma Foundation operates a rescue service in Pune that includes a hospital with OT, kennels, cattery, as well as a team of vets and vet technicians for the rescue, treatment, rehabilitation, and release of stray dogs and cats in Pune, India.
Animal Rescue Trust runs a 24*7 shelter in Pune to rescue and treat stray dogs who are either sick or have met with an accident. They conduct sterilization operations for stray dogs and cats. They have an old age home called ‘Ashiyana’ for abandoned pet dogs and disabled stray dogs. Animal Rescue Trust continuously works on re-homing and giving a new life to abandoned pet dogs.
Animal Helpline Siliguri saves animals, birds, and reptiles from suffering around Siliguri. Their work includes rescuing and caring for dogs, rescuing reptiles from critical situations, and wherever possible return rescued animals to their natural environment. Animal Helpline also provides a permanent home in collaboration with the Forest Department for animals that can no longer survive in the wild.
Tails ‘N’ Trees neuters, vaccinates and rescues Pune’s stray dog population to relieve animal suffering and reduce human-animal conflict.
Their main focus is animal birth control (also known as ABC, neuter/spay, sterilization) of the street dog population in East Pune.
