Food, water, safety — Agra’s first feeding point for strays is here!

Agra has set up its first official stray dog feeding point at Paliwal Park, following the Supreme Court’s directive that dogs be fed only in designated areas. The move comes after weeks of confusion and rising hostility against feeders across Delhi-NCR and beyond. Officials said the new point is meant to provide clarity while ensuring strays get access to food without conflict in public spaces. Animal feeders, however, stress that one feeding point is not enough in a city with thousands of strays. They have urged authorities to expand the initiative across wards, as mandated by the Court. For now, Paliwal Park serves as a pilot project that could set the tone for future rollouts.
