Six stray dogs came under fire while roaming a Houston park. The case is currently under investigation.

A man has been arrested and faces multiple charges after two stray dogs were shot in southwest Harris County this week, authorities report. According to the Harris County Precinct 1 Constableโ€™s Office, six stray dogs were found near an apartment complex late Monday evening. Two of the animals were discovered with gunshot wounds; one suffered multiple fractures, and the other damage to its ulna. All six dogs were taken in by the Houston SPCA, where the injured animals are now recovering. The accused, 54-year-old Oscar Junior Johnson, has been charged with two counts of animal cruelty and being a felon in possession of a firearm. The investigation remains ongoing.
