Two days, eight dead dogs. Palladam waits for answers after the heartbreaking incident. Autopsy reports are yet to reveal the cause.

Tiruppurโ€™s Palladam municipality witnessed a disturbing incident as eight stray dogs were found dead under mysterious circumstances across three wards over two days. Five dogs were discovered on Sunday and three more on Monday in SKR Nagar, Mahalakshmipuram, Senthottam, Jayaprakash Street, and Karuparayan Kovil Street in Wards 5, 8, and 9. Local residents alerted municipal health officials and police, who visited the sites and began an investigation. Veterinarians from the animal husbandry department conducted autopsies before the carcasses were buried. Officials said the exact cause of death will be known only after the autopsy results. This is the first such case of mass dog deaths in the area, prompting police to register a case and launch further inquiries.
