Alpha-linolenic acid, or ALA, is a type of omega-3 fatty acid that is derived from plants, and it is similar to those found in fish oil. It is found in very high amounts in flaxseed oil and lesser amounts in walnut oil. It is an essential fatty acid – it must be taken in the diet and is not produced by the animal’s body.

How do Omega-3-6-9 & α-LINOLENIC supplements help?

The alpha-linolenic acid and related chemicals in flaxseed decrease inflammation and are useful for old age diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory (swelling) diseases.
