
Great News For India’s Dog Rescuers: Update 2023 On The VOSD Surrender Process!
As part of the VOSD dog surrender process, all rescuers have to submit the vaccination details and latest blood test results of the dogs they wish to surrender to VOSD.
In this cohort, there are over 300 dogs (as in Jan 2026) that include Hind limb paralysis, Spinal trauma cases with partial paralysis & Amputees.

The VOSD Hospice program is the only one in India and is dedicated to dogs too old to survive on the streets.

These are dogs that come in with known issues or are discovered to have them over their lifetimes and who receive routine checkups at VOSD.
These dogs are sometimes from the VOSD Hospice programs, but many are pedigree dogs such as Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds, and St Bernards.
