Mojo was rescued from a building, where he was kept as a guard dog and as entertainment for the children in the complex. He spent weeks tied near a transformer, which alone was dangerous, and to add to it there were huge rats lurking about. He was left on the streets once in a while but was dragged back only to be chained again. If the poor puppy revolted, he was beaten mercilessly by the security guard. Any 10-month-old puppy is so full of life and loves being active while playing around, but Mojo only saw torture and sorrow.
A group of animal lovers in the area got to know of the cruelty he was facing so they rescued him and sent him to foster care. Multiple attempts were made to find him a home, alas in vain. Keeping his safety in mind and not wanting him to end up on the streets again, he was surrendered to VOSD.
As he walked into the gates of the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital, it’s as though he knew he was safe here. He immediately took to his caregivers and the other doggos, unleashing his happy & energetic side. Mojo loves running around the vast campus greeting everyone he finds along the way. He’s such a naughty and goofy pupper who thinks chew sticks are a toy and not a treat! We’re so thankful that we get to give such cruelty survivor dogs a new hope that their future can be positive and safe.
VOSD has accepted hundreds of dogs who have faced cruelty, abuse & neglect at the hands of humans such as being attacked with acid, beaten, chained, blinded on purpose, mutilated, or burnt with firecrackers. We are the only safe and permanent home in which they can live, forgetting their painful past.
Please help us care for such cruelty survivor dogs by donating INR 5,000 (~$64) one-time or monthly to cover their food & medical expenses: https://vosd.in/active-campaigns/monthly-expenses/. Together, we can show these pooches that not all humans are bad, and there are kind souls who care about their well-being.
If you know any dogs who are facing abuse, cruelty or neglect, you can contact us at info@vosd.in to surrender the dog to the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital for a better and safer life.
