Rajkumar a dog Leg was crushed but not his spirit
What you will learn

Do you remember the story of Rajkumar? When he was living on the streets, he was run over by a water tanker: https://bit.ly/3RsD2R3. The severe injury resulted in his highly infected leg being amputated but here’s how he is doing now!

After weeks of nursing his wounds and with multiple trips to the vet – on one instance we thought his life had almost slipped away – but he finally recovered. He’s so happy and free today that it’s tough to believe he is the same dog as when he came to us!

Such miraculous recoveries are made possible at the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital because we do everything possible to saving a dog from peril. Be it a hygienic kennel for recovery, to medical care, nutrition & supplements, moral support and more, we ensured Rajkumar got the best treatment and post-operative care any dog can in the country. He is now safe from the dangers of the street, and can run around how much ever he wants to within our campus.

Stray dogs face extreme cruelty every single day in India. Can you imagine what the consequences would have been had a water tanker hit a human being? Because it was “just a dog” the culprit got away scot-free. We at VOSD value every single canine’s life. If any stray dog is suffering due to illness/injury and doesn’t have anyone to care for them, we will admit them as per our surrender process.

Nearly 80% of such homeless or neglected strays enter the VOSD system without a surrender fees, so we urge you to help us meet the monthly expenses for their upkeep by donating INR 5,000 (~$64) one-time or regularly: https://vosd.in/active-campaigns/monthly-expenses/. Unite with us to be the voice of stray dogs!
