What you will learn

Daredevil lived comfortably with his pack of stray dogs for several years…that was until he went blind. Just as the blind old dog grew progressively infirm, his pack grew increasingly hostile towards him. Bloody attacks to subdue Daredevil became an everyday affair on their side of the street. A kind rescuer routinely intervened and tried to diffuse the volatile situation but, Daredevil was invariably suffering serious injuries every other day. The rescuer took him to the vet several times but clearly a permanent solution was required.

Daredevil needed to be in a safe environment away from the pack that he once called family. Upon much consideration, the rescuer decided to approach VOSD with the hope to procure a stable living arrangement for Daredevil. After fulfilling the VOSD Dog Surrender procedure, he was surrendered to us under the old stray dog for VOSD Hospice category without a surrender fee.

So, at last, Daredevil left his conflicted past behind and came to stay with us at the sanctuary. The mild-mannered dog has adjusted to the life at VOSD and is a pro at mingling with dogs and people alike! He gets regular nutritious food and excellent quality care to ensure he is active and healthy in this last leg of his journey. Routine medical check-ups will also be conducted to relieve him from age-related issues and pains.

Just like him, hundreds of blind, old, and special needs dogs reside at the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital. To help them lead healthy and happy lives of dignity, please donate INR 5,000 (~$63) one-time or monthly for their food & medical expenses: https://vosd.in/active-campaigns/monthly-expenses/
