DOG WITH CRUSHED PAW NOW AT VOSD FOR LIFELONG CARE
What you will learn

On a fateful day, a speeding car ran over a poor stray dog’s paw, leaving him in immense pain. A kind man who noticed this, rescued the dog and immediately rushed him to a veterinary hospital. An x-ray revealed that he had sustained multiple fractures for which he received appropriate treatment. However, even weeks later, the dog was unable to bear weight on his limb – the doctors confirmed he wouldn’t be able to walk normally ever again.

A stray dog with a permanently damaged paw couldn’t have survived on the streets. Fending for food or shelter might have put him in further danger, so the rescuer wrote to VOSD’s Helpdesk to surrender the pooch for lifelong specialised care. Chai was soon on his way to the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital, where new hope and happiness lay awaiting him. The adorable dog expressed great interest in exploring every corner of the sanctuary on his very first day with us. We began taking him for short walks and soon he felt so safe and comfortable that he would break out into zoomies – despite his damaged limb, Chai runs like the wind!
