What you will learn

A dog lover rescued an old, malnourished stray, who was unable to walk because of a hip fracture due to a major accident. She admitted her at a hospital where she underwent laser therapy and got nerve injections and supplements. “The dog is ready to be discharged but the doctor said that she cannot survive on the streets. She is still unable to walk properly as her hind legs have clamped. We would really appreciate it if you can take her in” wrote the rescuer to us.

Senior ailing stray dogs who don’t stand a chance to survive on the streets can be surrendered to the VOSD Hospice from across India; we do not charge a surrender fee in these cases.

When we accepted Tim and she came to live with us, we had to act urgently to solve two issues – malnutrition, and her inability to walk. We put her on a high protein diet as well as on VOSD Joint Supplement since day one, and we have begun to see promising results in just a week! Tim relishes every bite of food which she has started filling out. She can now, not only walk but run because of her medication!

The VOSD Hospice aims to provide world-class geriatric care for elderly stray dogs in terms of accommodation, diet, veterinary care, medication & supplements, and so on. We go the extra mile to pay individual attention to such dogs and record their daily progress. Not to forget, they are showered with extra love and pampering because we are all they have in their old age.

Gift a senior dog the “Hospice Healthcare” package costing INR 5,000 (~$65) per month, which includes their food & medical expenses: https://vosd.in/active-campaigns/monthly-expenses/. Your contributions can ensure that Tim and hundreds of other infirm, aged canines can lead a dignified life at VOSD free of any pain or illness.
